The Sacramento Bee reports that a third person has died as the result of
last week's fatal Davis bus crash. Mercy San Juan Hospital has announced
that a second passenger on the United Cerebral Palsy bus has died as a
result of the accident. The driver of the truck that collided with the
bus died at the scene.
According to reports, Laura Sue Weiderholt of Woodland had been airlifted
to the hospital via California Highway Patrol (CHP) helicopter following
the crash. She had sustained serious personal injuries including head
trauma and broken bones. Another woman had previously died as the result
of blunt force head, neck and chest injuries.
