When pedestrians, bicyclists and motor vehicles are in close proximity to each other, the risk of a pedestrian accident is greatly increased. When you add drinking and driving to the equation, the potential for harm increases further.

In fact, in San Francisco and throughout California, drunk driving accidents claim the lives of hundreds of people each year and cause countless catastrophic injuries. Where an individual dies as the result of a drunk driving accident or suffers serious injuries, it may be possible to recover compensation. An experienced San Francisco accident attorney can evaluate the circumstances and provide critical advice during this difficult time.

In California, a person is considered to be legal intoxicated or drunk if their blood alcohol content measures 0.08% or higher. Even if a person only feels a little tipsy, they may still be above the legal limit and should not be getting behind the wheel or operating a motor vehicle. When someone knowingly drives while drunk, his or her actions may be considered negligent or even disregard for human life.

Here, the San Francisco pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
